What is World Juggling Day?
To honor the founding of the International Jugglers’ Association in June 1947, the IJA annually declares a Saturday in June as “World Juggling Day.” This year it is inviting individual jugglers and juggling groups around the world to create events on Saturday, June 18, 2011 , designed to spotlight juggling — a regional juggling festival, a teaching session in a school or park, a “Big Toss-Up,” juggling games or media related juggling stunts.
What’s happening in Ireland?
This year we will again be celebrating World Juggling Day at the Street Performance World Championships. Last year was a great success with hundreds of people coming along and juggling with us over the weekend, and this year we want to match or improve on last years success! So come along and juggle (or learn to juggle) with some of the best jugglers in Ireland and enjoy yourself as we gather as many jugglers in one place as we can!
Location: Merrion Square (central green), Dublin 2
