Street Performance World Championships 2008 &
World Juggling Day
It's back and bigger then ever! Yep it's that time of
year again where the best in the world come to Dublin to show off their
skills and compete to become the Street Performance World Champion 2008.
Last years title went to "The Space Cowboy" with "Mario
Queen of the Circus" receiving the peoples vote, both performers
will be returning this year. all the other performers are new to the event
and the acts are as varied as they are wierd. from juggling to sword swallowing,
balance to just plain crazy. You'll find it all and more at this years
SPWC.
Last years winners: Mario Queen of the Circus and The Space Cowboy
During the festival on the 14th is World Juggling Day
and to celebrate this there will be free juggling workshops where you
can learn some new skills and juggling games to be held at the EmeraldCircus.com
/ Jugglin Dublin area of the SPWC. Although the workshops and games will
be mainly on the saturday (there may be a few spontanious games and the
other days) EC.com and Juggling dublin will be on hand to show people
some new skills and send them off in the right direction too keep it up
after the weekend.
We are delighted to be part of this years SPWC and look
forward to meeting everyone, so dont be shy, drop by and join in the fun
and games and learn some new skills. SPWC2008 runs from Friday the 13th
(yeah, Friday the 13th, Arghhh) to Sunday the 15th of June with World
Juggling day slap bang in the middle on Saturday the 14th :)
